Our Living Waters – Shared Management System

OVERVIEW

Our Living Waters is a network of organisations working toward ensuring our waters are in good health by 2030. The organisations use Clear Impact to record their progress, and they needed a public-facing website to showcase their shared progress. The existing website was built by another studio; our job was to develop the dashboard that fit with their look and feel and expose key pieces of data to users of the website.

For this project we had the pleasure of partnering with Two West Group and Catalyst Internet Solutions, both agencies based in BC, Canada.

SOLUTION

Our Living Waters had a veritable treasure trove of data. (As data nerds ourselves, we were in heaven.) We worked closely with designers and strategists at Two West to craft something that tucked data into beautiful parcels to not overwhelm any new or casual users, but could be expanded to show much more should the users choose. The pages also harnessed NationBuilder’s page structures ingeniously that allowed Our Living Waters to update the data easily.

2022 update

Two West and Front Matter teamed up again to provide some tweaks for Our Living Waters. We built them eye-catching water animations with CSS and SVG to highlight the status of water across Canada, as well as other data formatting changes as they modernised their measurement trackers and internal processes.
